How do you ensure the quality of your supplements?

Through auditing, validation, and testing from suppliers to manufacturers we can ensure the supplements meet our stringent specifications for the highest quality chew. The supplements are compliant guidelines set by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and NASC and AAFCO.

Q: Why does the packaging indicate that the supplement is not for long term use?

A: In order to meet regulatory guidelines in Canada, (namely Veterinary Health Products guidelines), we must include that statement on all kelp products, indicating that they are not for long term use unless directed by a Veterinarian.  We do believe this means simply that they recommend checking in with your Vet from time to time regarding your pet's health and their diet. 

We have never heard any issues from any customers regarding keeping their pets on the supplements for years.  In fact, we actually recommend the addition of the powder supplements throughout their lives, which is something we all personally do for our own pets.  If you should want to review the supplement with your Vet, please feel free to refer to the ingredient listing and nutritional information provided on the product pages of our website for each formula.
